They are currently seeking several Seasonal Tax Preparers. Seasonal Tax Preparers are responsible for performing tax compliance work to effectively provide quality client service. Responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing, processing, copying, filing and mailing client tax returns. Ideal candidate will have a strong attention for detail, be able to multi-task and work well independently and in a team environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Prepare individual tax returns and detail review of tax returns and related research

Contact agencies and organizations by phone or email to gather ancillary client information

Perform tax research where appropriate

Communicate engagement problems, findings, and status to managers and principals where appropriate

Review files to ensure that they possess the necessary signatures, contain the necessary supporting documentation, and comply with filing due dates

Obtain proper filing extensions when necessary

Perform all work in compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures

Maintain technical tax skills through continuing professional education, on the job training and participation in internal tax training sessions

Communicate directly with client when appropriate

Required Experience

2-5+ years tax return preparation experience

Knowledge of basic accounting concepts involved in tax return preparation

Strong analytical skills to enable effective decision-making

Solid written communication skills to enable preparation of accurate and detailed supporting tax return schedules, workpapers and research

Excellent client service orientation with an ability to handle pressure in a positive, professional manner

Computer skills including spreadsheet programs

They are currently seeking a Tax Manager for their Jenkintown, PA office. The Tax Manager is responsible for the delivery of a full range of tax services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Responsibilities include interacting closely with clients and private equity investors to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise; developing and managing staff; working closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development and business development activities; and formulating and delivering innovative tax planning and tax savings strategies.

Responsibilities:

Review Federal, Multi-National, Multi-State Corporate (C&S), Partnership, Individual, Trust, Estate tax returns.

Federal and State Tax Audit Representation.

Review FAS 109 calculations.

Knowledge of Trust & Estate Taxation.

Federal tax research involving significant tax projects (R&D Credits, IRC Section 382 Studies, etc.).

Keep current on new federal, state and international tax matters.

Coordinate with Client Accounting and Tax departments.

Develop tax package data requests, instruct staff on tax adjustments and implementation of tax application systems.

Review tax returns for accuracy, minimization of tax liability, available tax credits, and tax provision.

Responsible for seminar presentations, training, and reviewing presentations by staff and seniors.

Responded to: client inquiries, Internal Revenue Service, State and Local tax notices.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

BS in Accounting, CPA required, MST a plus

Recent public experience within a Regional or Midsize Firm required

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and CCH Prosystems preferred

FAS 109 and/or FIN 48 preferred
