Our client is currently seeking a Manager to join them in their New York office. Our client’s EVS practice assists companies in meeting business requirements related to transfer pricing, valuation, and economic analysis. EVS professionals help clients make forward-thinking decisions about strategy, operations, and compliance and create long-lasting value. Specifically, services include transfer pricing planning, compliance and documentation, implementation, and controversy; business valuations supporting audits, financial and tax reporting, investment and capital expenditure planning, and expert testimony; and economic services such as public policy analysis, performance analysis, and statistical sampling and analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and deliver valuation services related to a variety of financial instruments, including commercial and residential real estate loans, convertible instruments, CMOs and CDOs
• Supervise and mentor staff
• Assist in business development efforts.
Qualifications:
• Five to ten years of experience with real estate loan-related products
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business from an accredited college/university
• Completion of 50% or more of coursework and testing requirements toward a relevant advanced degree and/or professional designation
• Experience with valuations of commercial and residential real estate loans, CMOs, CDOs and/or other derivative products
• Understanding of the capital markets
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, solid analytical skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment

With offices located throughout the country, they are a full service firm offering a wide range of valuation and corporate finance services to both private and public companies nationwide.
The Senior Associate will be involved in many aspects of financial valuation and advisory services to a variety of clientele. Responsibilities include analyzing companies’ historical and projected financial statements, developing traditional financial valuation methodologies (such as discounted cash flow and market comparable analyses), researching industries using Internet or other sources, performing due diligence review, and communicating results through written reports and presentations.
The ideal candidate should have concentrated valuation experience and strong experience with fairness/solvency opinions. As well as an advanced, working knowledge of Excel and Word. Strong oral and written communication skills and superior analytical capabilities are essential. Must have quant skills and be familiar with financial modeling. A degree in Finance is required. An MBA and/or CFA (or CFA candidate) are also preferred. A background in accounting coursework is important and relevant to the responsibilities of the position. The ideal candidate would have 2-3 years experience only.
