Our client, an elite electronic trading firm, has an immediate need for a driven, technically-savvy team player to focus on trading support for Fixed Income traders.  The Trading Operations Engineer will be responsible for our client’s proprietary trading system architecture and application issues, exchange operations relationships and driving continued performance improvements. 

Strong analytical and creative skills as well as in-depth knowledge of applications, scripting, and networks are required (preferably working with trading firms or exchanges).

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze trading requirements, systems architecture, order and market data trends

Communicate Trading and Technical requirements to the world’s largest global exchanges

Drive the launch of new features through our client’s cutting-edge Trading, Development & Operations teams

Employ innovative thought and automation to improve productivity, workflow and trader support

Key Skills:

Extensive knowledge of Linux/Windows

Significant Experience with Python programming/scripting.

Creating scripts to automate process/monitor performance.

Experience with database configuration/performance monitoring.

Analytical mindset, highly effective at decision-making

Ability to manage numerous business priorities with ease

Willing to learn the intricacies of a world-class financial trading floor

Able and willing to do critical strategy work all the way through hands on implementation

Strong personal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in layman’s terms  

Job Requirements:

Over five years experience in technical trading support.

More than 2 years experience in a combination application development and scripting (python, perl, html, javascript, php, bash, mssql, etc.)
