Our client, a market leading provider of Centralized Data Management (CDM) solutions for financial services firms, is seeking a New York-based IT Consultant advise customers about the business and technical uses of their product suite and ensure the successful deployment of the product at the customer site. The Consultant will work with their core team of developers and partners around the world to ensure high-quality implementation of the various projects.
Principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Install, configure and deliver the products according to acceptance criteria
- Customize product configurations to meet customer requirements and maintain products at customer site
- Advise customers regarding the uses of the products, answer customer questions and address concerns
- Establish and maintain strong customer relations throughout projects
- Detail activities in written reports for management
- Complete work in a timely, project-based manner in accordance with project plans, deadlines, etc.
- Extensive travel required (may include international)
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline
- 3 years of experience in at least one of the following:
- Unix/Linux command prompt; Shell scripting; Java/”Java Script” programming; Relational databases (Oracle/Sybase/MS SQL server)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to transfer knowledge to customers
- Must have financial services industry knowledge (instruments, processes, regulations, etc.)
- Prefer knowledge of data vendor data (Bloomberg, Reuters, IDC, etc.)
- Prefer at least two years of experience within the financial services industry working with market data

Our client, an elite electronic trading firm, has an immediate need for a driven, technically-savvy team player to focus on trading support for their Execution Services. The Operations Engineer is responsible for architecture and application issues, system startup and shutdown, subscriber issues, as well as driving continued performance improvements.
This position requires strong analytical and creative skills as well as strong working knowledge of operating systems, and IP networks. The candidate must have been working with trading firms or exchanges for at least three years.
Key Responsibilities:
- ATS system configuration, customer triage and risk management
- Analyze trading requirements, systems architecture, order and market data trends
- Regularly communicate with third party exchanges
- Support the launch of new features and enhancements through cutting-edge Trading, Development & Operations teams
- Employ innovative thought and automation to improve productivity, workflow and subscriber support

Key Skills:
