Our client, a market leading provider of Centralized Data Management (CDM) solutions for financial services firms, is seeking a New York-based Implementation Manager to facilitate, execute and finalize client projects according to strict deadlines and budgets. This includes planning & managing resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Implementation Manager will also oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.

Principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Direct, monitor and report on project implementation from beginning to end together with customer’s project manager.
  • Work with the client to define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with architects, senior management and stakeholders.
  • Work with the client Project Manager to develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents / status reports.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and internal/external stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion continually during the duration of the project.
  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team with respect to both our client and customer Staff. Work together with customer project manager when dealing with customer resources.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify project risks, and devise contingency plans in cooperation with account management, development, and sales.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
  • Create sales orders and review customer invoices before they are released
  • Create Steering Committee presentations
  • 20% Travel Required

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with similar role in the financial industry
  • Project Management training, technical and/or business-related training preferred
  • PMP or similar accreditation preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience in managing external projects
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects in parallel
  • Able to handle stress and work under pressure with tight schedules and deadlines
  • Excellent reporting skills.

Salary: $110,000 – $120,000
