Our client a market leading developer of trading operations and risk management systems and services for some of the world’s premier financial and energy trading institutions is seeking a Technical Analyst for their growing Â
São Paulo office.

The  Technical Consultant will interface with their Clients’ business & technical representatives. The role will include requirements capture, analysis and design of technical solutions based upon their proprietary software.

Flexibility and regular travel around Latin America are essential to this role.

Responsibilities:

Preparation for and installation of proprietary software and components at client sites

Providing technical architecture guidance to new and existing clients

Providing pre and post implementation technical support for clients

Performing technical audits & performance tuning of existing installations

Assisting clients in upgrade projects

Delivering fast response troubleshooting for on site issues.

Requirements:

Good knowledge of Oracle database administration

A good degree in a numerate discipline

Sound knowledge of SQL

Good troubleshooting skills

Preferably some development experience (C/C++, VB.Net or Java)

Working knowledge of front, middle and back office operations in a banking or Energy/Commodity environment preferable

Excellent communication, written and team skills

Enthusiastic and self motivated, with the ability to work alone

Candidates must be advanced in English. Spanish is a plus

We are seeking an individual to serve as a technical consultant to help grow and support our capital markets business in North America. The role entails analysis of client business and technical requirements working in conjunction with subject matter experts. From that, design, development and documentation of custom software applications in support of our client project follows.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Minimum 1-4 years of software development in Java, VB.Net, C#.Net, C/C++ or other procedural-based custom development languages

Minimum 1-4 years of SQL experience

Experience in our client AVS language and Financial software application is a distinct plus

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a similar technical discipline; Advance degrees are a plus

Strong client-facing skills

Good written and oral communication skills, and technical writing skills are required

Ability to work as part of a project team

Ability to work on-site at client locations throughout North America

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

A bachelor’’s degree in computer science, or other technical areas

Strong knowledge of SQL

1-2 years AVS experience in C, C++ is preferred

Strong knowledge of JAVA

Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience supporting financial or energy trading and/or trading operations is a must

Solid understanding of Our client’s simulation results, particularly the greeks, and market index structures is a plus

Experience in Our client’s financial AVS development is a very big plus

Travel is required to client sites located in the US, Canada and elsewhere

Must be willing to travel 50% domestically and internationally
